Privacy, minus the legal boss fight

Draft launch policy: last updated July 11, 2026.

Early-access list

If you join the early-access list, we collect the email address you submit, referral attribution, queue activity, and campaign parameters so we can operate the waitlist, prevent abuse, measure referrals, and send launch information. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Cookies and local storage

LagZero uses necessary first-party storage for your consent choice, waitlist referrals, campaign attribution, and form operation. The consent cookie records your analytics choice, region classification, policy version, and choice date for up to six months. Referral and campaign values are used to operate and attribute the waitlist.

Optional analytics includes Google Analytics and LagZero’s first-party measurement. It measures page views, anonymous visitors and sessions, referral sources, campaigns, device category, conversion events, JavaScript errors, and Core Web Vitals. Google may set _ga cookies and process approximate location and device information under its own terms. LagZero’s first-party analytics assigns random browser and session identifiers; analytics events are not attached to your waitlist email and the analytics service does not retain your IP address.

For visitors in the EU/EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, and whenever regional detection fails, optional analytics stays off until accepted. Elsewhere, analytics starts with a clear notice and can be rejected immediately. Advertising storage, ad personalization, and ad-user-data consent remain denied because LagZero does not use advertising or remarketing trackers.

You can reopen the settings using the floating Privacy choices control. Rejecting stops future analytics collection and removes LagZero analytics identifiers and accessible Google Analytics cookies where possible. We ask again after six months or sooner if our tracking categories materially change.

Website measurement

When analytics is allowed, LagZero uses the optional tools described above to understand and improve the website. Google Analytics is provided by Google; see Google’s privacy policy.

Interactive checker

The ISP-throttling checker runs in your browser. LagZero does not receive your questionnaire answers; analytics receives only the resulting category.

VPN service data

The commercial VPN service has not launched. Before launch, this section will identify the technical operator, explain connection and account data handling, and state the applicable retention policy. We will not publish claims we cannot verify.
